Dillard scores Top-10 outing in first night of Dairyland Showdown at Mississippi Thunder

After losing Thursday's opener to Mother Nature, Cade Dillard invaded Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) for a pair of $25,000-to-win shows with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series.

Setting the bar in qualifying out of 34 Late Models, Dillard dominated his heat race before redrawing the third-starting spot for the $25,000-to-win main event. Moving into the runner-up spot early in the A-Main, Cade started the fade past halfway and finished outside the Top-5 in seventh after 50-laps.

Scoring another heat race victory on Saturday, Cade was once again unlucky in the redraw and would start fourth in the $25,000-to-win finale. Running inside the Top-5, Dillard slowed on lap nine with a flat right-rear tire. Cade rallied to finish 14th in the 50-lap main event.

Dillard is currently third in the World of Outlaws point standings.
