Dillard second in Clash at the Mag finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway
Making the trip to Mississippi, Cade Dillard checked into a huge field of 54 Super Late Models at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the two-day Clash at the Mag with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series.
Setting the bar in his qualifying group, Dillard went on to pick up a heat race win and start on the front-row of the $5,000 opener. Cade briefly led before he fell back to fourth where he would cross the finish line.
Cade missed the mark slightly in his time trial run on Saturday, but still managed to win his heat race which put him starting third in the finale. Dillard chased down Shane Clanton for the race lead, but eventually settled for runner-up in the $12,000-to-win show. Sam Seawright, Josh Putnam, and Jake O'Neil completed the Top-5.
