Ninth-place finish in USA Nationals opener at Cedar Lake Speedway

Making the trip North for the 38th-annual USA Nationals, Cade Dillard was one of 52 World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Models at Cedar Lake Speedway (New Richmond, Wis.) on Thursday afternoon for the $10,000-to-win opener.

Picking up a heat race win, Dillard redrew the pole position before fading in the 30-lap feature to finish inside the Top-10 in ninth. On Friday and Saturday, Dillard raced his way into the $100,000-to-win finale through a last chance qualifier and finished 19th in the 100-lapper.
