Cade Dillard tackles DIRTcar Nationals week at Volusia; runner-up finish on Wednesday
Returning to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Monday afternoon, Cade Dillard and his team prepped for six straight days of racing at the facility for the World of Outlaw Late Model Series DIRTcar Nationals.
Dillard kicked off the busy week with a pair of seventh-place finishes in $7,000-to-win features on Monday and Tuesday before scoring a runner-up finish in one of the split features on Wednesday night.
With points racing starting on Thursday evening for the World of Outlaws, Dillard took a provisional to start the $12,000-to-win feature and finished 19th.
Dillard recorded his best finish of the week the following night as he raced to a Top-10 finish in eighth during Friday's $12,000-to-win show.
With $20,000 on the line for the weekend finale, Cade started the 50-lap feature from the fifth-row and finished one spot out of the Top-10 in 11th.
