Dillard sidelined while leading Ronny Adams Memorial at Boothill

After Friday’s program fell to saturated grounds, Cade Dillard entered a single event over the weekend with a trip to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) for Saturday's rain-shortened Ronny Adams Memorial.

Joining a field of 30 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) entries, Dillard backed up the fastest qualifying effort overall with a convincing heat race triumph. Starting on the pole for the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Cade set out to a commanding lead early before catching a rut in the closing laps while trying to defend the top spot from a charging Bobby Pierce. Hard contact with the heavy cushion in turn one on lap 36 brought a disappointing end to his weekend.
