Fourth-place finish in Dairyland Showdown opener at MTS

Cade Dillard followed the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series to Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.) on Friday afternoon to kick off the two-day Dairyland Showdown. Drawing 38 cars, Cade jumped up two spots in his heat race to pick up the 10-lap victory. Starting the $12,500-to-win A-Main in fourth, Dillard held his spot to register a fourth-place finish, trailling Brandon Sheppard, Brent Larson and Jimmy Mars to the checkers with Chris Madden coming in fifth. After coming in third fastest in his group on Saturday, Dillard posted a runner-up finish in his heat behind Bobby Pierce, which positioned him eighth on the starting grid for the finale. With $22,500 on the line, Cade clawed forward two spots in the 60-lapper to register a sixth-place finish.

Cade remains in sixth in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
