Dillard records 13th place finish in Cotton Pickin' 100 opener

Friday night found Cade Dillard in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) for the Cotton Pickin’ 100 weekend. Drawing 34 Late Models for the two-day event, Dillard edged his way into the opening night feature with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. The following night, Cade came in fourth in his heat, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the $12,000-to-win Cotton Pickin’ 100 finale. After challenging for a Top-10 finish in the early going of the 70-lap affair, Dillard was an early retiree on lap 50.
